The tanker operator no longer needs to fumble with 2 cam levers, the 5205 has a single cam lever which allows easy single handed installation and removal.

 

 

The job of the API cap is not only to protect the API valve from environmental contamination such as road dirt and salt, but also to protect the API valve from impacts from things such as road debris.

 

 

For this reason we built a raised edge into the side wall of the 5205, which offers the API valve increased protection from impacts. The Body of the 5205 is made from “Die cast Aluminum”, which is not only very rugged. More fleets want to be able to seal the API cap to prevent tampering of the load. The 5205 has a “Security Slot” built into both the cap body and the cam lever which allows the fleet to install up to a 3/8” security seal. Other companies use light duty cable or chain for attaching the cap to the tanker, unfortunately these light duty cables and chains do not last, which can result with the cap being lost from the tanker.

 

Each of the Dixon Bayco 5205 caps comes standard with an 18” heavy duty chain which helps to ensure that the cap will stay with the tanker.
